the old ID discussion again. This will be interesting for those without drivers licenses.

Guards now stopping people without photo ID from entering MSD sites

From Morning Report7:50 am on 15 February 2017

Security guards must now stop anyone trying to enter a Work and Income office if they don't have ID.

The changes are part of a new government policy being rolled out after two staff members were shot and killed at the Ashburton office in 2014.

But the guards' union says it's causing long queues and frustrations at the door.

Mike Treen of Unite Union said many of the people arriving for their appointments did not know about the policy.

He said guards were working outside, on their own, with an appointment list and dealing with a queue of people.

"The guards aren't actually able to do their job of guarding the door because they're busy looking up and down checking the names.

"So they're not keeping their eye on the customers, not keeping an eye on what's happening outside. They're not able to do their job."

He said customers were being made to stand aside while contact was made with somebody inside the office - but the guards could only do that by tapping on the door.

Mr Treen said the system was confusing, frustrating and dangerous. "In effect you've got WINZ making the guards carry out reception duties."

In a statement, Ministry of Social Development associate national commissioner Te Rehia Papesch said it was an important part of security that they knew who was coming into their sites.

"Our security guards are having a conversation with people before they come into our offices to quickly discuss why a person is there, and helps to make sure we don't admit anyone who might represent a risk to the safety of other clients or our staff.

"People will be asked for ID - any form of ID. But we know not everyone carries this at all times so I can reassure people that not having ID won't mean people can't come into a Work and Income office."

Beneficiaries' advocate Kay Brereton said the ministry had told her 21 people had so far been turned away for not having ID, but she suspected the true number was far higher.

All interesting comments & data there... thanks. I'm recalling it's not that long ago, last century? Australian Aboriginal people had to carry passes wherever they went.

I expect all this going on is getting us used to being stopped & showing our 'papers'. Gradualism the specialty of Fabian Socialists. Tiny increments.

And yep the drivers license plastic version is as good as a pass with all it contains. I read our own expose of that, Nicky Hager or the other Invest Journo can't recall but yes, as you say Martin it got swallowed quite easily. Always another angle to try. And NZ was the test case wasn't it? Right from the get go - Rogernomics, IDs, bank cards etc. Good ole 'she'll be right' Kiwis

Think they beginning to wake up now though.

Nice find Danielle - double click to enlarge.

From the days when I used to read the local newspapers  ...  denial left right and center the way of the Fabian socialists, deny everything then a little down the track when everybody's back to their beers and rugby, do it anyway, just before xmas when nobody is going to notice.

the end goal is  chaos and inconvenience ...and revenue creation as always, using those with the least as their funding ...the less you have the more you are asked to "provide proof"...of everything ..so you cant live in that tiny one bedroom you can barely afford ,thats where your paperwork will exist ,your reciepts, proofs of identity, schooling, employment records, tax statements ,bill payments ,ect ...soon they will offer the utmost convenience: putting ALL your info they expect you to carry with you throughout your entire lifetime ,into one easy to inject chip ...first it will be offered as something portable but not connected to your body ,then you will hear of identity thefts and other heinous crimes orchestrated by the marketeers of the next item of convenience ,then an emergency will be staged and biological id will be required not for convenience ,as not everyone bit the first time ,but as a "safety" protocol

If they make things very inconvenient, people will more readily jump in to be microchipped...
I make this comment even though I think they are possibly microchipping us in a more advanced way with nanoparticles in aerosol spraying ( chemtrails)

true Kate. I've seen a woman put up her xray on fb with a tiny chip looking thing in it. Planted without our knowledge during medical procedures & plus, those incarcerated. I know of one where a man was chipped that way in jail. He didn't know.

Starting with the criminal element as i guess the vacc herd immunity BS is standard behind bars so i guess prisoners are not given a choice to vacc or not?Its us next aye?Would ya like chips with that?

Same tired BS reasons & progression for everything deanna. Dare I mention vaccines, airport body scans, fluoride, off grid living, etc. If enough people challenge successfully, they change the so called law, or bring in the militarised & brainwashed bully boys. At least we are aware enough to not be there when the brown stuff hits the fan.

Agreed Ed
