Ink on paper is the only way. I'm talking a whole lot of ppl writing to their local members (yes I know they're all fraud$) to keep them busy. Ink must be responded to! I did it many yrs ago and was kept abreast of each stagehand it passed to. These members do very little for their pay, but a letter-bombing would certainly get their attention, and keep their staffers busy as hell. Most members have their own media/ press staff as well. Would really be interesting to see what, if anything, was released to Big Media!
It would have to be co-ordinated - this is the problem; getting enough ppl in the one area to take part in the letter sending on a certain day. This would then be co-ordinated with neighbouring areas doing the same.
Yeah, I'm dreaming, but other than a mass street protest, forget it.
I get what you mean Nym Ive had similar thoughts. Its like we need to formulate a package for people to print and send out all over the world all at once.
For now I think Jim Lee, Dutchsinse, Elana and all the other proactive ones are doing a great job and despite my reservations on this act almost like an agreement to let them do it...well at least Jims going for it and doesn't have the massive ego issues that keep holding this up.
The letter drop idea is fantastic.. we have to make it real for people. The weather is so farked up and whatever they are doing is killing the all bugs off around here. THATS NOT GOOD!
We really have to get our shit together on this.
Elana, Jim, Dutch are fantastic in their single-mindedness re this issue but they can't do it alone, nor should they have to. There's nothing stopping us from co-ordinating a few mailbox drops around the streets in our immediate area to get a feel. I talk to many when walking my dog. Some have even spoken to me about the sky lines not being normal. What to do about it still seems to be the big holdup. People feel so small and useless and ineffective, and talking about it may relieve our stress but it won't solve anything.
