What made the events in Flint, MI, specially cringe-worthy for me were good memories of summer vacation with my cousins in Flint in 1969. It was a very pleasant bedroom community with an immense State Park where we had many good times. I can't imagine what the place is like now. I posted the Flint articles I was following at the time this tragedy happened at:
I don't think titling the episode, "Metropolitan Eugenics," was hyperbolic. I think that was the most accurate description of what was really transpiring.
