Friends, here is a response to the iodine email update I sent previously. This is from a friend I knew in Mount Shasta, CA and her feedback I feel is worthy of consideration.

Neil, Michael forwarded the Dr. Sircus article to me. I wanted to share some information with you. In my practice i did an iodine screening of all new patients. Those that showed possible iodine deficiency were then tested by Labix lab. Over three years there were only 2 people who i screened that had adequate iodine storage. Even though i had everyone on 50 mg. very few resolved within a year to year and half.

Also the levels barely changed upon 3 to 6 month retesting periods. After much research and consults with the lab it became clearer as to why this was happening. Our thyroid RECEPTORS are blocked from ongoing ingestion of halides such as bromide found in bread products and fluoride in toothpaste and other sources.

The detoxing process takes along time and must be accompanied by a change in diet. Also the more acidic one is (pH testing of saliva and urine) the less one will absorb the iodine. There are other issues as well but these 2 are primary. So the point is that iodine deficiency is not easy to resolve. Because of this Labrix stopped doing the testing. I recommend that people get proactive and find practitioners who do before and after lab testing...not just the at-home-skin iodine test, although that's better than nothing.

Changing diet away from the halide chemicals and away from the typical acidic diet is what will allow the uptake of the iodine...and without having to use such high levels. In general I think that topical is best....painted directly on the thyroid gland (i put it in an essential oil cream base). I am currently doing this and have reduced my natural thyroid medication from 97.5 to 65 mg. and eventually will be off of it and on maintenance. So i know it's working.

Currently I'm working in Medford OR at an incredible clinic doing Live Blood Cell Analysis. They are very patient centered with state of the art holistic modalities to assist in particular, cure of Lyme and Cancer, not the least of which is changing the diet. I'm incredibly happy. I hope you are doing really well. I send people periodically to your website for remediation purchases. Please put me on your mailing list.

can he ship to the usa ?

I used nascent iodine on a tiny black mole. It shrunk, tunrned brown, pink, then was gone. Hasn't returned.

First post, have patience.

Not to take anything away from the above posts, the thought here was to add information. I originally wrote this a year or two ago.

For those of you living in the States, and ultimately living anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere, were about to face a major health problem from the radiation released daily from Fukushima.

The time to prepare is now. The preparation to use is Iodine. Any doctor today will tell you that Iodine is extremely dangerous. Just another reason why you never, ever go to a doctor. We all need to be taking Iodine to protect the Thyroid. The only Iodine to be taking is "Iodoral". Lugol Tablets - Sources below.

Up until the 1920's, Iodine was considered virtually a cure all. A hundred years ago, iodine was called “The Universal Medicine”, and was used in several clinical conditions. Nobel Laureate Albert Szent Györgyi, the physician who discovered Vitamin C in 1928, commented:

“When I was a medical student, iodine in the form of KI was the universal medicine. Nobody knew what it did, but it did something and did something good. We students used to sum up the situation in this little rhyme:

If ye don’t know where, what, and why
Prescribe ye then K and I. (K=Potassium, I=Iodine)

By the 1930's, the pharmaceutical company's had developed Thyroid Extract and later, Iodine in drug form. Both products were extremely dangerous with many side effects. A campaign was started by the drug companies to discredit Iodine as a whole. Many newspaper articles were written for years discrediting Iodine. Doctors were taught to only administer the drug forms of Iodine. The campaign continued to the 1970s when it was considered that any knowledge of Iodine in peoples memories had been erased. Think of it as similar to what's going on in our schools today.

The truth is:
“Of all the elements known so far to be essential for human health, iodine is the most misunderstood and the most feared. Yet, iodine is the safest of all the essential trace elements, being the only one that can be administered safely for long periods of time to large numbers of patients in daily amounts as high as 100,000 times the RDA. However, this safety record only applies to inorganic, nonradioactive forms of iodine.  Some organic iodine containing drugs are extremely toxic and prescribed by physicians. The severe side effects of these drugs are blamed on inorganic iodine although studies have clearly demonstrated that it is the drug that is toxic, not the iodine released from it.”

It is felt by many researchers that the absence of iodine is a promoter of cancer.  They described several clinical conditions suspected to be linked to iodine deficiency, including obesity, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychiatric disorders, fibromyalgia, and malignancies. Studies using 3.0 to 6.0 mg doses to effectively treat fibrocystic breast disease may reveal an important role for iodine in maintaining normal breast tissue architecture and function. Iodine may also have important antioxidant functions in breast tissue and other tissues that concentrate iodine via the sodium iodide supporter.

Pregnant women, the elderly and adolescents are more predisposed to iodine deficiency. More women than men are short on iodine. In addition to low thyroid functioning, symptoms of iodine deficiency include depression, weight gain/loss(in cases of hyper), weak heartbeat/ rapid heartbeat(hyper), extreme dry hair and skin, swelling of the legs, decreased ability to concentrate, muscle cramps, puffiness or swelling of the eyes, insensitivity to light (adrenal), insatiable appetite for sweets or salts(adrenal), and chronic aches and pains. Fatigue is a common symptom, characterized by the urge to fall asleep when not active. Hypersensitivity to cold, or cold hands and feet is another frequently reported symptom. When the metabolism is not up to par, there is less energy and heat produced."

Iodine cures fibrocystic breast disease, cures type II Diabetes, cures or greatly reduces insulin intake of type I diabetes (if you have any c-peptide count), stops cells from forming cancer.

"We have received many comments over the last two years. Following orthoiodosupplementation, patients have described vivid dreams, dissipated depression, no more cold extremities, more energy and less fatigue. Patients have noticed an overall feeling of well-being. Patients have noticed a loss of weight. One patient after taking four pills (50mg) of iodine lost eight pounds of fluid weight in 24 hours. We have had patients note better bowel function. Patients who have been constipated for over ten years have now noted daily bowel movements. We have also had patients noted relief from leg cramps at night. In less than 1% of all the patients treated with Iodine, have we seen an allergic reaction. More often than not, the allergic reaction is hives. After treating over 1,000 patients with iodine, I have at no time seen the Wolff-Chaikoff Effect. "

The main point here is it's time to take Iodine supplementation to guard against radiation. None of us know when it will hit, whether or not a plume just passed through our area, or how bad it will get in the future. Whether the radiation is here now or coming in the future, there's many benefits to taking Iodine.

A good source for Iodoral, ships WorldWide: http://www.iherb.com/search?kw=iodoral&x=7&y=10#p=1
