"My My, Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue)"

My my, hey hey
Rock and roll is here to stay
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away
My my, hey hey.

Out of the blue
and into the black
They give you this,
but you pay for that
And once you're gone,
you can never come back
When you're out of the blue
and into the black.

The king is gone
but he's not forgotten
This is the story
of a Johnny Rotten
It's better to burn out
than it is to rust
The king is gone
but he's not forgotten.

Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die
There's more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
Hey hey, my my.

I love the line JK supporters love to use, well hes a great business man. Bullshit,a great business man is the local dairy owner who on little to no profit can keep his shop running and feed his family in the face of ever increasing compliance and tax costs, personal saftey issues due to constrictive regualtions on the underclass and dwindling profit margins.

The "King" referred to in the song is Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) lead vocalist of the Sex Pistols And Public Image Ltd.

Hence the line "this is the story of a Johnny Rotten", Greg.

'The King' referred to in this song is probably Elvis. But the real King of Rock had he lived in my opinion would have been Charles Hardin Holley ie 'Buddy Holly'. He only recorded for 18 months, before that fatal plane crash in early 1959, but he had something like 23 No 1 hits either in the USA, UK etc. I don't think anyone has ever matched the amount of hits Buddy had in such a short time. Elvis at the time had only 2 No 1 hits.
