This morning I heard a rustling, oh oh, another bird fallen down my chimney again, turns out is was a wild green n blue n red budgie, by the time I got it out of the fireplace it was a little worse mainly light black.

Took ages to convince it to perch on a curtain rod in my hands and I eventually walked with it out through the back verandah and as soon as it saw the wild blue yondar,,,,,,,, off it flew.

I could hear it's mate, churping outside, it waited around for it and they flew off together, what a tail it would have to tell about these human beings that live in those weird boxes, and don't purch on trees, so dumb they carn't even fly LOL.

This one was a couple of months ago

Thanks Sarah, excellent advice on the chick netting, it's on my shopping list for next week.

Was walking home from the PO, and saw what is going on, there are 2 birds huddled under the opening at the top of the chimney, there is warm air from inside the house rising and the sun is heating the flat top section, they have a cosy little warm house up there LOL.

I think there is a bit of jostling and one looses its footing and falls down.

We get starlings down our chimney unless we wrap the hole with chick netting. The starlings here have raised no chicks for the last few years and our neighbor said the sparrows at her place have had no chicks either. Nesting but no chicks ??
