NOTE FROM JEFF:
Greetings and apologies for having so flat out with everything in the wake of my bicycle accident in November 2015, from which I have recovered and am still recovering nicely, but still a ways to go to get back to 300%. This posting is parallel with long-over-due updates to my main web-site (many thanks to Douglas Webster) as well as a re-organized and enhanced web presence for my art.
I wish to share with all my wonderful friends and family the beauty that I have been blessed to create and share AND make a call for help in response to a 'disaster' that happened to me in Tasmania a few weeks ago.
I had visited a small island off the north coast and was coming back hurrying against an incoming tide that turned out to be faster than I had anticipated. My foot snagged on a rock and I went down part-way, enough to get my camera bags wet. Luckily my video camera was zipped and was ok, but my trusty Nikon D700 got some sea water on it, enough to permanently damage it beyond repair. My friend Terry Lilly, underwater photographer and marine biologist, said that I'd now been inducted into 'the beach club', as he has lost three cameras to Mother Ocean. Jules Stanly at UCY.TV said that I had 'sacrificed it to the sea gods.' :) At least the top of the line lens is fixed and in the shop waiting for me to retrieve her.
I am now making a
CALL FOR HELP IN SUPPORT OF MY ART
MY NEWLY REDESIGNED MAIN SITE
in order to help me fund my 'recamerafication' process which involves first getting my lens back, then getting another Nikon (I have been needing to upgrade for a while now to one that does HD video, so I am shooting first for a D810 then later for a D4S.
THE ONE I LOST
I used my camera every day and she is absolutely essential for all I do. I am not a 'professional' photographer in terms of occupation but I am at the ultra-professional level technically speaking...because I love the beauty of nature. Not only do I photograph my art extensively, but also to document and share the beauty of nature wherever I am able to travel. I am planning to publish a few high quality books in the not too distant future that will include my visual art, and photographic surveys honouring some special places that I love and that have not been properly photographed, including Aotea (Great Barrier Island, NZ) and Flinders Island, Tasmania.
My main site hasn't had any updates in five years. The images on this posting are the new updates, and I am working on redesigning the site to show a lot of my older works of various styles. Near the bottom of this posting are various links to these.
Right now I very much welcome support in any way, shape or form. I do not specifically 'solicit' donations on behalf of all my research and activism, focusing mainly on the health of Mother Ocean and her family of life, including my magnum opus, my series of 'beyond films' about the whales and dolphins, but will accept them :) Any donation or gift will be reciprocated by free art.
Commissioning art from me is the best way to support what I do...it gets me to create new and special custom art in whatever style you might like...or something totally new; it helps me to survive and fund my activities; and it gives you something really nice to look at!

Liesbet and I have been apart for close to five years now, after five amazing and powerful years together. I don't hear from her much anymore but I continue to honour her beautiful dolphin-goddess spirit and her amazing creativity. Who knows, our wonderful guardian angels who brought us together so powerfully in 2007 may yet bring us together again in honour of the 'ultimate creative partnership' that we still in fact are!
