Welcome to On the Brink of Sanity radio broadcast #203. First I'd like to paraphrase my favourite poet of all time, William Blake, who is said to have said...or perhaps he wrote it, who knows: "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks in his cavern."
My version: "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite and coherent, except for himself, which would appear as he is, totally and stark raving mad. For man has enthroned his dementia and glorifies his destructiveness, till he sees all things as lifeless artifacts thro' flat screens in his living room."
But no, this show is not about any of this. Nor is it about how microwave technologies used by the U.S. and other militaries are killing life in Mother Ocean, nor is it about the meme of 'climate change' which is closer to Coca-Cola and Crest toothpaste than it is to atmospheric reality, nor is it about the geo-physical warfare dimension of 'full spectrum dominance' and the 'revolution in military affairs' that is creating, among other things, the disruption of weather patterns (NOT 'climate') attributed to 'climate change', which is an information warfare smoke-screen for geo-physical warfare. Nor is this show about the massive radio-nuclide toxicity scenario, or the global chemical toxicity scenario, or how mass-media and specifically television are the biggest weapons system in use today. Neither is this show about the big game, what I had for lunch, or the 'Day of Purification' of the Hopi prophecies. None of these.
This show is about some FUN STUFF for a change: NOISE! Well, not 'noise' per se but a densely-arranged multi-track recording/editing experiment designed to push every button on the brain control panel of everyone who thinks that my show is always about heavy topics. Not this time!
Dare you listen to this show, especially with head-phones, you may be able to pick out some of what's there. For example, me repeating the phrase
COUNTRY SINGER DAVID ALLEN COE
"David Allen Co-dependency-ration-algebra-icthyolo-je-sustain-mentali-tea-cup-and-sau-sir-Galahad-to-go-figure-eight-ball-and-chain-gang-stir-friday-do-do-re-mia-farrow-row-row-your-bow-tie-one-onomatopota-mustard-seedie-bric-kelly-green-jean-splysergic-acidophi-lustrust-afarian-nunciation-tinglish-tar-heel-linguistic-tac-toe-maine-lobster."
over and over again. What this is is a 'sentence' or paragraph I composed back in the mid-90's. It consists of recognizable words and phrases, except for 'onomatopotamus', which I made up to describe a large aquatic African mammal who makes a sound that's the same as its own sound...all strung together. The last syllable of each word is the same as the first syllable of the next word, so these joining syllables are pronounced only once.
Layered along with this are various and sundry whale and dolphin sounds, bird songs, insect and frog noises, the sounds of space (the final frontier according to some) and the Earth, as well as those made by colliding radio-galaxies; and a few classic pop songs from yesteryear, like 'Riders on the Storm', 'Dancing Queen', 'I'm Younger than that now', 'Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft' and 'Pick up the Pieces.' A collection of selections that any visiting extra-terrestrial observers would be sure to enjoy!
FIORELLA TERENZI (this is kind of how she looked when we had lunch in LA)
DR. FIORELLA TERENZI (ASTROPHYSICIST)
This is kind of like my version of Neil Young's 'Arc' cd...a series of noise jams using mainly electric guitars.
