I use an 8 - 1/2 inch saw and a 12 inch saw on wood, but an 18 foot diameter blade to cut stone would require a massive carriage to support the motor and blade assembly, but you could bet that it would be able to cut large blocks of stone in a very flat plane. Might help explain how stone blocks in so many of the ancient structures  fit in a very flat , fine fashion...
